La Bella Deep Talkin' Bass Flatwound 45-105 Bass Strings, Long Scale [760FS]

This is a set of the iconic La Bella Deep Talkin’ Bass strings; the same strings that have been used by bass legends since the 50s, and are still handmade in the USA.
These Deep Talkin’ Bass strings produce a deep, rich, and dark bass tone with a smooth feel and beautifully playable low tension. The DTB bass strings also have a great amount of attack for outstanding note definition and punch.
Comprised of steel hex core, wrapped with stainless steel ribbon, which is then hand-polished to a silky finish, these strings almost completely eliminate finger noise while delivering a sound that is completely balanced and natural.
All of these characteristics result in a particularly versatile set of strings with fingerstyle players loving the clarity, and pick players the smooth top.
NB. La Bella standard bass sets are LONG scale length. The G, D, and A strings measure 38” from ball-end to silk/taper. The low-E string measures 36 ¾” from ball-end to silk/taper. Only the silk portion of the string should wrap around the tuning post or else the string could break.
**PLEASE NOTE** These strings measure 36.75" / 93cm from the ball end to the start of the silk winding. These strings have Black Silk at the top end of the string only. Unsure what scale length string you need? Click here!

FAQ
Q) Will this set be a suitable length for a Fender Precision Bass
A) Yes, this set will fit a standard Fender P-Bass. Precision Basses have a 'ball end to nut' measurement of 35.5" so these will be a perfect fit with the silk winding of the string clearing the nut and stopping just before the first machinehead.

We insist that players use the measurement of ball-end (anchor) to top nut of their current set of strings. This measurement is more accurate than scale length as it takes into account through-body stringing, and more complex or alternative bridges. In many cases the set of strings required will be longer than the bass’s stated scale length! Use these references:
If ball-end-to-nut length is:
Up to 32” choose Short Scale
32”-34” choose Medium Scale
34”-36” choose Long Scale
36”-38” choose Extra/Super Long Scale
If you have a bass where you cannot see the ball-end i.e. a thru-body bass, you will have to measure your string once it has been removed. Before removing the string be sure to make a mark on the string with a permanent marker just behind the nut so you know where to measure to. Then once you’ve taken it off the bass, you can measure from the ball-end to the mark you made on the string.
