DR Strings Black Beauties are made with nickel-plated steel wrap wire which is coated with DR's proprietary jet black coloured K3 coating before being wound over the steel hex core. This hard, enamel coating protects the string underneath from contaminants (sweat, oils, gunk) to make their fresh tone last longer.
The extra-hard K3 coating maintains the string's natural brightness, while taming overtones, and increasing projection. Players report these strings sounding louder and punchier!
