Stringjoy Naturals Phosphor Bronze 11-52 Acoustic Guitar Strings, Custom Light
The Naturals range are Stingjoy's take on the ever popular Phosphor Bronze alloy used in many acoustic guitar sets today. And there's a good reason for this: Phosphor Bronze inherently possesses some truly desirable tonal characteristics. The copper zinc mix used to create this alloy produces a lovely full warmth that’s not too bright, but just enough to help accentuate the natural characteristics of any acoustic they find their way on to.
Not to mention, Stringjoy also state that the alloys used in their Naturals sets help to prevent tarnishing and corrosion which can often prematurely kill the tone and hinder the life of our strings.
Here’s what Stringjoy say about their Phosphor Bronze Naturals Extra Light Gauge Set:
“Our Extra Light Naturals are the perfect set for the players that want a fantastic sounding string without having to feel like they’re pressing down on bridge cables in order to play a chord, which I’m pretty sure we can all agree doesn’t sound like fun.
Naturals are our take on Phosphor Bronze, which is great at bringing out the authentic, woody characteristics of an acoustic guitar. It’s this rich copper alloy that gives these strings a distinctly warm, resonant tone. The strings also have a rose gold color so beautiful you’ll want to order an extra set just to frame and hang on the wall.
As an added bonus, component agents in this alloy make these strings especially resistant to corrosion, meaning your strings will sound better, longer. Who wouldn’t like that?”
Who are Stringjoy?
Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, Stringjoy are a burgeoning string manufacturer committed to great customer service and caring about putting quality products in their customer's hands. Despite being a young company in comparison to some of the bigger brands, these guys are making big waves and really know their stuff when it comes to strings.
Formed in 2014, Stringjoy was first created after owner Scott Marquart began putting together his very own custom gauge sets. Frustrated at not being able to create his own sets without having to buy several sets off the shelf and cherry-pick only a few singles from each set, Scott sought out a different solution and in the process created his very own string company, Stringjoy.
Now, if you’re thinking that Stringjoy are just another string brand, you’d be wrong. They are not in the business of creating as many sets as they possibly can. Instead, their strings are made in small batches by a modestly sized in-house team dedicated and focused purely on producing the best quality strings they can possibly make. Their mantra is “quality, not speed.”
Each string is made one at a time under scrupulous supervision by a human being at every stage of the process - all the way from securing the ball end to the core wire to packing the strings in their boxes. Stringjoy profess that making their strings relies on the skills of only the very best trained string winders insisting “winding a perfect string is an art.”
Not content with producing any old set of strings, Stringjoy have a very high-quality control with every string individually inspected from end to end before it makes its way into the box and onto your guitar. Any slight imperfection and the string doesn’t make the cut. Simple as!
Their sets are already extremely popular over in the USA with highly regarded players such as Joey Landreth and Ariel Posen being big advocates.
