Pyramid Fusion Flats are a different take on flatwound strings. The concept was developed in conjunction with US strings designer Dean Farley who envisioned a new type of flat wire wound string which could offer players a new and versatile tone.
The thick, full tone with rounded, smooth upper range is achieved by combining highly polished, pure nickel, flat-wound wrap wire over a round core to give a warm, supple, and responsive feel. The round core brings a fundamentally deep tone and innate flexibility which makes these strings outstandingly playable.
Although clearly aimed at the jazz guitarists, these strings actually work incredibly well for rock, country, and blues too. In fact, the smooth top is fantastic for heavy, riff-y styles where round wound strings can be overly abrasive when combined with super amounts of gain.
