Jacob Collier is an English singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, producer and educator, known for his energetic live performances. In 2025, Taylor Guitars launched his signature model – a 5-string, custom-tuning guitar strung with XS from the factory. There are now 3 different 5-string Jacob Collier Taylor models:

About XS:

XS coating is an ultra-thin film that is wound over the entire string and then heated-fused to the windings to create a protective barrier. This barrier keeps out contaminants while also providing a smooth, clean feel that is beautiful to play. The XS coating is more tonally transparent with less acoustic dampening than any other. XS plains are nickel-plated and then dispersion coated to match!
