Elixir’s Nanoweb coating is a micro-thin polymer film which covers the entire surface of the string. The great thing about this type of physical shield coating is that it stops all sweat, contaminants, and other invaders from getting to the string surface; likewise, it stops your oily, grubby fingers from physically touching the strings too.

The Elixir Nanoweb coating will reliably increase your typical string life by 3-5 times, along with the plain strings which are also anti-rust treated!  This means you get bright, clear and full tone for so much longer than you usually would.

Under the hood of this particular set is an industry standard phosphor bronze string which has a warm and full sound which is completely unaffected by the coating.
