The sound of the '50's and '60's in your strings!  The classic combo of Monel steel wound over a round core was lost in favour of a cheaper alternative in the '70's but thankfully with modern machinery and some German precision the strings are back better, and more consistent than ever.

There's certainly a void between nickel-plated steel and pure nickel wound strings which Monel neatly occupies for a warm, and full-bodied sound.  These strings also have round cores which feels lower tension and flexible under your fingers.  This is certainly a very special range of guitar strings!

"Monel Steel is a material that has been steadily neglected over the past few decades, but now Pyramid are proud to announce its return!   Until the early '70’s it was only possible to use Monel steel or pure Nickel as a winding material for guitar strings so ever since the industry has favoured more cheaply, mass-produced nickel-plated steel strings on a hexagonal core.   Pyramid are now pioneering the return of Monel steel-wrapped, round core strings.  If you’re after an alternative to pure Nickel then the Monel Classics are for you, satisfying the huge sonic gap between Nickel-plated and pure Nickel strings."

Re: Returns. We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
