1st time I've tried flat wound strings and am loving these so far
These are much better than the older gauges; the A and E string were too light on the older sets which made the tuning unstable. I have these on my Longhorn (2012 model) and they sound and feel excellent. They have vintage flatwound sound and retain a bit of the "twang" you get on a Dano when using roundwounds so the best of both worlds.
