I usually us Thomastik-Innes strings of this gauge, but thought I give these a try. To be honest, I'm not very keen on them as they're too "brassy" for my liking also, very slippery and not as easy to tune as the Thomastiks which stay in tune seemingly forever and also have a more subtle sound to them.
Long lasting and stay in tune
Best strings on the market
quality and service simply excellent!
Service brilliant, postage quick, no complaints, and although I realise that these strings are expensive, I did see them a few quid cheaper elsewhere after I had made my purchase with Strings Direct.
Just started using elixir strings, not cheap by any means but they really do keep sounding and feeling great for ages!
I use these strings on my Martin D28 and I love the warmth and smoothness. Very easy to play and they last so much longer.I was changing my strings every 3rd gig, now they go forever.
Wonderful sound, particularly on a darker wood/mahogany guitar.Great lifespan and timbral consistency once they have calmed down.
I used to use lighter strings on my ovation, but decided to try a bit more manly strings on my new Taylor. I have to work a bit harder but definitely worth it. I have had the elixirs on for a few weeks now and still sound like new. Pretty good.
Great strings. Stay bright for ages with nanoweb coating.
Well worth the additional expense. They stay clear and fresh for months.
Bought for recording session. Still sounding great after three weeks.
Only the very best'!!!!!!!!!!!!!p
Excellent set of strings and fast service.
long lasting and great tone
