DiMarzio is the original replacement pickup company with Larry DiMarzio being the first to offer an after market sound that couldn’t be achieved with the stock pickups of the 60s & 70s. The creation of the Super Distortion humbucker was revolutionary for electric guitar. Double wound, it outputs over twice the voltage of the traditional PAF humbucker which pushed amps harder than any pickup before providing massive bass response, with pushed mids and warm highs and ultimately, power! It became the sound of the heavy metal movement through the 80s with players like Paul Gilbert, Ace Frehley and Phil Collen all favouring the hotter pickup.
More recent additions to the DiMario pickup range are the Dual-Resonance design which plays the two coils off of each other at different frequencies to produce a completely unique sound and the Airbucker which has an air gap between the pole pieces and magnet which reduces magnetic string pull, simultaneously increasing sustain and sensitivity.
DiMarzio, Inc. didn’t stop at pickups though, and the Clip-Lock strap range has become one of the most popular guitar/bass straps in the world seen on the biggest stages. Just count the number of professional players using DiMarzio Clip Lock straps, you’ll be amazed! From Steve Vai, John Petrucci and Satchel to millions of guitarists playing the club scenes - also favoured for the offering of neon colours!!
A completely unique, heavy-duty plastic clip design combined with seatbelt-style nylon strap length makes these incredible strong - they’ll hold over 150 pounds (that’s about 68Kg to us Europeans or around 7x Gibson Les Paul's… )!
The Nylon fabric conforms to your body and has a smooth, satin-like feel which is supremely comfortable and also allows you to move your guitar freely during your set without snagging.
Any DiMarzio ClipLock strap you want we have here at Strings Direct (or if we don’t we can get it for you proper quick)!
Over the last 45+ years DiMarzio has built an impressive roster of loyal artists including Steve Lukather, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, John 5 and Billy Sheehan which gives the company legendary status.
