I place my GE7 between my classical guitar and my Marshall AS50 acoustic amp to help overcome some of the percussive noise that the guitar pickup "hears". I use an L. R. Baggs i-beam, which is brilliant, however it can be TOO sensitive as it does search out ALL the sources of vibration from anywhere on the guitar including the sound of the fingers on the strings. The GE7 can filter all that out and give the really excellent amplified classical sound I'm after. Classical guitars wired up with piezo pickups usually sound terribly toppy, but this combination is MELLOW. Just as a point of interest, I use the AS50 as an onstage monitor facing me, and d. i. the sound to the p. a. system. This allows me to have my guitar monitored as loud as I wish without annoying the rest of the band. I can also cut out the sound engineer messing with my sound.

The best thing about this pedal is simply that you can mold your tone into anything. And I mean that. Anything. This pedal should be used by everyone who doesn't already have an EQ pedal. Run through your FX loop it becomes really powerful. If you're into Jazz, you can get your sound. If you're into Metal, you don't need a metal zone, just a moderately high-gain amp and the GE-7. If you're into blues you'll love the way you can boost your mids with this puppy. The GE-7 is just an incredible pedal I don't think I could live without. It's an incredible stomper you need to have.

I recenty bought one of these, if you connect it through the FX loop on your amp you can use it to boost your lead volume and also up your mids for an excellent lead tone that stands out in the mix

the 7 bands give great versatility and there is a great amount of boost/cut available for each of these bands. Using its with other pedals can help advance simple FX tone controls and with any amp it can help mould it into the sound you crave
