A real expensive disappointment. I know Nylgut from Aquila's excellent ukulele strings, so when my brother wanted his guitar restrung around his birthday, this seemed like an ideal present. The guys at Strings Direct provided their customary efficient service and the package arrived next day. I wrestled with the strings for two hours and eventually ran out of time but it was obvious these strings were never going to work out. Two factors: they're not long enough to allow enough surplus at either end and the Nylgut is too smooth. Consequently tensioning up the strings causes one end or the other to slip out. The third string in particular has to reach to the top of the headstock and isn't wound. I eventually managed a cunning overlap so that it would stay on the peg only to find the knot at the bridge was slipping out. I just can't see any way these strings would ever hold and tune up to pitch on a standard classical guitar.
