It's built like a tank! It has all the adjustments you need... the level knob is a wet/dry blend, which is very useful if you run it straight into an amp... and the low frequency filter is a great idea. If you were recording you may want something more fancy, but for gigging, why spend more? I got it to go with a fretless bass and it sounds great!
