These are SO much better than Elixir. They barely feel any different to normal uncoated strings, and they sound great too, just like D'Addario's usually do!
I put a hybrid set of 10's (10-52 EXP140) on my Ibanez SZ and they rock. Tonnes of tone and power, can really dig in hard without fear that they'll break, but still incredibly dynamic.
I can't say I've had the same problem with string breakage that the other guys have had. I will definitely be using these again.

Could have been better! If you kill strings with corrosion then give them a go, personally I'd save the cash and throw some Slinkys on instead, almost half the price so unless you kill those instantly with sweat then don't bother with these as you could get two packs of Slinkys for nearly the same price. I always clean strings with a rag and Peavey liquid string cleaner, Planet Waves etc do similar products, cleaning will lengthen string live more than this coating in my opinion. My problem with them? Like the prior review I've broken these too whilst stretching them and they've also failed on a few occasions at the bridge. If strings consistently break before they start losing tone then there is something wrong as far as I'm concerned

They indeed last longer and the strings don't corrode as quickly (I say this as the plain strings still corrode but just takes longer due to the fact that they are tin plated rather than covered in a coating like the wound strings).
Cons? They are much stiffer compared to regular uncoated XLs and to some, may sound 'dull'. I don't mind this as I use these on my Les Paul and I prefer a mellower tone. The high E also broke on me whilst stretching (never happened to me with uncoated strings) but thankfully I got a free one in the pack.
