Fantastic strings but made for a 4/4 double bass. If you use on a 3/4 you will need to have a bridge that is height adjustable and setup 1-2cm higher than normal and the bridge position 1 cm higher than the f-hole notches (just above the notch). <br/> <br/>Alternatively (if using on a 3/4 double bass) you can purchase a tailpiece for a 1/2 size double bass and use adjustable bridge to .5-1 cm higher than normal. Bridge position can remain on sweet spot.

These strings give a great sound to a cheap laminate bass, but put them on a solid wood bass and the are fantastic, gives great slap and deep bass.

Replacing the steel strings that came with my new CCB (cheap/crap chinese bass), with these nylon strings, made the difference between giving up &amp; being ready to gig in a matter of weeks! I can't praise them enough...
