Like the previous reviewer, I've been suffering from tinnitus recently and the most likely cause is attending a large number of loud concerts without wearing ear protection. I've since bought these and found them to be very effective: they claim to block out all frequencies equally so that you can hear the music as it is but quieter. They do just that, and after a while it feels like I'm not wearing any ear plugs at all because I can hear the music so deceptively clearly. I haven't had a chance to try them out whilst actually playing a gig yet, but I don't see why they shouldn't be just as effective in that situation.
Overall, a very worthwhile purchase.

I suffer mild tinnitus, and so decided it was time to look after my hearing, and bought these. You can wear them in a nightclub, and still enjoy the music, AND hear your mates talking to you. The way in which they mute all frequencies without muffling the sound makes them indispensable to gigging musicians who wish to protect their hearing. It is a little strange singing whilst wearing them - you will hear your own voice from within your ears, a very strange experience. Once you are used to them, you'll find a new enjoyment in your music, without ringing ears the next day or three!
