I was getting fed up splashing out 20-30 quid for rotos etc and changing em every few months when we are gigging so i splashed out 8 squid on these and to be honest i cant really tell the difference. They sound fine, bright to start as others have said but settle quickly without becoming too dull. I got the lighter guage and they're great for slap but still have plenty of bottom for rock. If you clean them after rehersal, gigs etc they should last ages. Highly recommended

As far as I can tell these are as near as dammit Rotosound Rotobass. Definitely from the Rotosound factory and unsilked, nickel on steel. They are are a quality string and seem to last as well as any nickel strings if you look after them. They have a nice zing at first which wears off and then they settle down. If you like new strings and do a lot of gigging then these could save you a small fortune. Buy with confidence.

I'm a guitarist, who owns a bass for messing about, so don't class me as a bassist! I bought these because they were the cheapest set available, I didn't know what size I wanted, so ordered the thinner set. They are SO much thinner than the strings that my bass came with, the low E is about the thickness of the previous A. This has made the guitar so much easier to play. The strings themselves are quite scratchy under my fingers, but this has settled over a little time. The sound they produce is clear and the tone is perfectly acceptable for my purposes. Professional bassists will undoubtedly want something more, but these are great for the bedroom guitarist on a budget.

A good set of strings for the price. They are a little clangy when they are fresh, but once settle down they have a nice even tone which is suitable for any style of playing.

This is my 2nd review of these strings, and my opinion hasn't changed they are still great strings. In one of the packs of 3 I bought I found a quality control ticket with the Rotosound logo on. So maybe that will uncover the mystery of who actually makes these great strings.

These strings are amazing. Bright sounding and punchy and feel really smooth to play. I used to use DR handmade strings, but now these are my strings of choice! Unbeatable value too, I would recommend all bassists get a set of these to try out. Even if they don't last as long, for the price I don't mind restringing more often. Well done Legacy!

For the price you can't really go wrong. When i put these on i was quite suprised how nice they were to play. The reason they have 4 stars is they simply don't last that long. But for the money you can't really complain.

I completely agree with everyone else these strings are fantastic, just replaced some DR Black Beauties with a set of these and to be honest these not only sound better but feel easier and more comfortable to play. For me 100's are perfect for me but I agree that Legacy should seriously consider making lighter guages just for mass market appeal. The price is incredible too I bought a single pack just to try £8.95 through my door less than two days from ordering, I will definitely be buying in bulk. These are now my string of choice

TRUST ME I HAVE BEEN THROUGH STINGS AND FOR THE PRICE AND QUALITY THESES STRINGS ARE THE BEST. THEY ARE AMAZING. THEY HAVE THE SOUND QUALITY OF ROTOSOUND BUT THEY ARE NICKLE WITH ALL THE SMOOTHNESS ON THE FRETS AND FINGERS. BEST BUY EVER, THESE ARE MY ONLY STRINGS ILL WILL EVER BUY NOW................ i was apprehenisve about buying cheap strings but having to restring 3 basses on a low budget i decided to take the risk. ok not stadium quality but they are still damn good, for the money well worth it.

Great value - these strings are just as good as any other roundwound strings I've ever come across, but for half the price (if that). <br/> <br/>As a 30-90 guy I just wish there were lighter gauges available.

The chap before me got it spot on! More even tone from A to G than my last set of Rotosound, much cheaper, reasonably bright...just start making lighter gauges Legacy!

Don't be put off by the fact that these strings are cheap and from a brand you've never heard of. They are Quality and put out a punchy bright tone. GET THESE STRINGS
