I have been using Ernie Ball strings for about 35 years now - Super Slinkys for most of the time and find them great.

OK - revised review of Ernie Ball strings, the last few sets I used, purchased from retailers in the South West all had kinked plain strings to a lesser or greater degree, one string coiled up like a corkscrew when removed and was causing serious tuning issues! I assume that a dodgy batch has done the rounds and no it's not my re-stringing skills that are the problem, the worst set was put on by Mansons after a set-up overhaul :) Switched to GHS after the Dunlop 2-for-1 deal ended and problem solved, no kinking issues, although GHS strings seem to tarnish and flake REALLY quickly, the string hunt will continue after I use that multi-pack up! Never had this problem before with any other brand, assume quality control made a slip up!

Great strings, you can get them everywhere so there's never a problem getting replacement sets, OK they do scuzz up/corrode faster than some but just keep them clean and they'll keep on going. For cheap fit and forget strings then look no further. Give the Dunlop strings a go too if you can find them in the 2 for 1 packs, as you won't find cheaper quality strings, they bend better than Slinkys which may or may not be your things!

these string have great tone and strenth. but i find thay dont last as long as some other makes.
