I've placed several orders with you over the last couple of years & each time I'm amazed by the fair price, speed & efficiency of the service. Orders placed one day always arrive the following day. On one occasion that a small item was missing, a quick phone call & the missing item arrived the next day. I will definately recommend & use whenever I can - well done!

I love this product, it makes your neck and frets like new. It's not sticky like fast fret. I've read it ruins your neck or loosen frets, trust me it won't because you dont soak the cloth, you only use a couple of drops. However, buy one pack and do all your guitars then buy another because it really does gunk your cloth up but only the first time you use it, so once the guitars have been done it just puts a bit of muck on the cloth after that. Do get yourself a small pump action bottle for the fluid, like the ones for hand cleaner coz I've had 2 from chromefrets and they don't work. But hey, thats not really a complaint.

Sorry -- Love the concept, but the product is faulty... had replacement after replacement, but there are always issues with the bottle's pump action... Chromefrets needs to look closely at its suppliers...
1 Fretboard?

Horrible. May give a nice finish to your strings & frets but what about the fretboard.? Made the fretboard on my 2,500 Euro guitar feel sticky & difficult to bend strings. Had to work very hard cleaning the fretboard with Lemon Oil to get it nice again. Gone in the bin.

After reading the review of this in whichever guitar mag it was last Christmas this has always been on my to buy list. I've just been to damn cheap to get it! I thought string cleaner and fast fret did a reasonable job but this stuff is amazing, I only used it to clean and lube the strings on a couple of my guitars the other night, spraying it onto the cloth as opposed to using the pad, does a good job of cleaning and lubing the strings and lets your fingers slide way better than fast fret does, I find it tends to wear off quickly. Then I noticed something else which nobody else seems to have picked up, after I assume the stuff transferred from the strings to the frets, BENDS ARE SO EASY! Like completely effortless! So took the plunge and tried using the pad, yeah after one use it looks like I've cleaned an engine with mine too even though I keep my guitars really clean, once the frets got a proper taste of this stuff the guitar is now playing like a complete dream. Going to try and clean strings with just the cloth and a spray or two after each use then maybe use the pad every few weeks or so, otherwise I get the impression that small bottle may go very quickly... Not sure about using it to refresh the fingerboard though, think I'll stick with lemon oil, never heard of french polishers using PTFE but I may be wrong! Initial impressions are amazing though, five stars unless that bottle only lasts a month, in which case I may cry...

I haven't tried these, I've never needed to use anything to clean the strings like fast fret or chromefrets. I'd be wary about wiping teflon on my fretboard though. Your frets are glued in properly now. If you soak your fretboard in PTFE, who's to say that when you ever need a re-fret, the glue won't hold (there is no glue that sticks to teflon). Once this is on your fretboard, you'll have a job getting it out.
4 That pad's familiar...

I thought the same as you, Guy, after watching the demo on YouTube and seeing how black the pad gets... But, that pad looked very familiar to me - it's a demister pad that Halfords sell: chamois or faux* one side, and microfibre the other. So you could possibly replace the pad if worried about re-gunking your guitars with a used one. [*I think lots of manufacturers are shifting to faux from chamois now. Something to do with faux breeding more successfully and having a longer hunting season.] My rating's based on not having used it yet, but it's on my shopping list!

3 Just how reuseable?

Yup, okay...did a fine job of lubing the strings, better than fast fret which I have used for twenty years...but. After one use on a nearly new set of electric Elixer's, the pad looked like I had used it to clean the engine of a vintage motorbike. I don't suffer alien-spit finger acid and my strings last a long time....but I'm a bit wary about using this pad again....its none more black after one use. I mean..how much ...gunk...will it lift of the next guitar or how much will it be putting on there instead?

I've tried most of the string cleaners but this one is in a league of it's own, it takes about 8-10 mins but if you follow the manual or the web site vid the results are dramatic.
