Shubb C1 Electric / Acoustic Capo
Since 1980 the Shubb capo has set the standard against which all others must be measured. It is the first choice ... often the only choice... of hundreds of thousands of musicians worldwide. Once the serious guitarist has discovered the Shubb, he'll never settle for anything less. What makes the Shubb capo so special? For one thing, its ingenious design: a patented locking action which provides an unrivalled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place... and removes it just as quickly. Original Shubb capo for Steel Strung acoustic/electric guitars. Shubb offer different models of capo to fit various shapes of fretboard.

Probably the most discrete capo in the world! Small, Light, easy to handle. Doesn't pull the strings out-of-tune and doesn't force you to change your playing style. The only down-side is that you can't clip it to your head-stock when you're not using it. Fortunately, my trousers have pockets!

Beautiful

Great design, beautifully engineered. And works - with surprisingly little tension.
Hey, StringsDirect - how about stocking the C4, too?

What a shame I have only just got one of these !

I don't know whether I am just a lousy player, but I never seem to have any room for my hand when I have a normal spring type capo on the neck ... this little beauty solves that perfectly.
At last, a capo that you can use without changing your playing style
I don't know yet about longevity, or whether it pulls the strings out of tune ( from the limited experience I would say "no" .. very good there too ) but I have been after a capo which didn't get in the way .... for ever.

The above reviews of the std Shubb capo convinced me that this was the best capo to buy for me, and I am not disappointed. The capo is a joy to use, quick, precise, kind to my acoustic guitar strings and neck, does not distort the tuning, affordable and very tough. It should last a lifetime! It's a very clever design, small and unobtrusive in use. Highly recommended.

I bought my first 2 Shubb capos (1 mandolin, 1 guitar)in Edinburgh during 1987: they get a lot of stick and are still going strong! I've now got quite a collection - 6 at the last count.

none to touch it!

very accurate, does not pull strings out of tune. The partial version is also brill! Try the standard version clamped to only strings 1 to 5 and get piccy with it..

Totally reiable
