Actually I thought of another use

They are a reasonably cheap way to get a set of 13's with a wound third. I restrung my 335 this way and it's got an amazing acoustic resonance now. Don't expect to do much more than semitone bends though!
Life-wise they are identical to the regular Dunlop strings, I prefer D'addario for longevity but at the current 2-for-1 price I can live with them!

I found these strings go dead within a week of putting them fresh on the guitar, not impressed at all

Decent zingy sound, good life and comfortable tension. That's the standard dunlop strings and these are exactly the same as a non-signature pack, but with the added heavier low E for tuning to drop D or C.
Does somewhat defeat the point of having a special drop tuning set of strings if you get the complete set of regular tuning strings included, but you might find it handy.
