Ernie Ball Titanium Reinforced Coated Electric Strings (08-38/09-42/09-46/10-46/11-48)

RRP £11.95. Ernie Ball Titanium Reinforced Coated Electric Strings combine the latest
technological advances in string manufacturing. All wound Slinky strings are
treated with a micro-thin layer of enamel that prevents decay and corrosion up
to five times more than uncoated sets. In addition to treating the wound
strings, Ernie Ball has taken it a step further by reinforcing the plain strings
with a patented winding of titanium wire.

Titanium's inherent strength
prevents string breakage, string slippage, and is proven to keep your strings in
tune better than conventional plain strings. Ernie Ball Coated Slinky strings
maintain the feel and sound of uncoated sets, combining the added protection
with the vibrant tone Ernie Ball customers have relied on for over 50 years.
Perfect for those who want to avoid guitar string breakage.

3 Ernie Ball re-inforced Slinky's.

Well...after hearing good things about these strings...i decided to buy some of these strings in 10/46 gauge and compare them to the regular Ernie Ball Slinky's. It pain's me to say this...because i do generally like Ernie Ball strings...but i found these strings to be awful!!! They weren't on my Epiphone Les Paul very long when one string snapped! I had to resort to using the one pack of strings i had left which were a set of .010 gauge D'Addario's XL Bright. I have to say...that i've found the D'Addario's to be fantastic strings! I've had them in the past...but i'd forgotten how good they were! They've been on the guitar for a while now and still sound great! Nice bright tone! In all...these strings aren't very good...and i would have to think twice before i buy them again! I think in future i'll be buying D'Addario's or regular Ernie Balls!

Awful things don't touch with a bargepole. I like Ernie strings, but the ones I received were poorly coated and sounded terrible

I've put a set of Power 11s on my Les Paul and the change in tone has blown me away! These strings really sing and have incredible sustain. And ultra nice tension under the fingers too. The combination of my Les Paul through a Marshall stack with these strings is awesome. I've already ordered some more sets :)

Normally always use D'Addario XL 10s, but thought I'd try these. I like clean Strat sounds, but found these don't sound as good as the D'Addarios (haven't got the same complexity of sound). Also noticed more "finger" noise, which was annoying. Nice feel and tension, but unfortunately not for me. I'll go back to the D'Addarios...
