fast fret

been a busker for 20 years.
Fast fret really works. i bin the cloth that comes with it and use a lint free cloth (the sort you get for valeting) to wipe the strings down with.
Fast Fret

I have been using fast fret for over 10 years and I love it.
If I owned a guitar shop I'd make sure the guitars and basses were treated with it regularly and they'd fly off the shelves. It really makes the strings much more tactile and easier to play. Well that's my opinion anyway... but I'm only a bass player...

Have been using FF for around 15 years or so, seems to prolong the life of strings fairly well for me ( I have rusty fingers) as for cleaning underneath - just run over, then pinch strings with cloth, job done.
BOUZOUKI
17 May 2009
I try it not very good and if you apply it before you play it slides your fingers all over like you have no control i am a Greek bouzouki player with 30+ years experiance and the way to clean you fretboard is SPIT yes SPIT as far as the strings clean with a soft cloth or paper towel or even toilet roll paper after your gig. DONT FORGET THE MORE YOU SWEAT THE MORE MUCK IT GETS ON YOUR FRETS AND STRINGS just ceap it clean
GHS Fast Fret

Excellent! I use it every time, before and after playing. It keep the tone on the strings brighter for longer. Use the cloth to clean underneath the strings and you won't get the build up others have complained about. Just make sure you remove any unwanted fluff from the cloth before you start playing!
Fast fret

I have used fast fret for years now and recommend it to everyone. Recently found out that WD-40 dose the same job believe it or not, and as it is made from fish oil its good for the fret board as well.

its cheap and it really helps with doing tricky riffs and solos i recommend this to everyone
Ace Product
The GHS Fast Fret is a fine product for all metal players!! As it allows you to transist to each fret easier and yet keep the strings clean! Comes with a handy cloth to clean under the strings as well!!
cheap and good
i've been playing for 11years and own a number of guitar collections and i dont see anything that can take good care of the string besides this......plus i really cant play without it ...without it i cant play my super fast riff
ghs fast fret
was recommended so tried it. it works well. use the cloth provided to clean under the strings.
I use fast fret all the time and i think it's really good and it does improve my playing but the stick does leave fluf which makes a bit of a mess.
Mr.
coats your fingerboard and strings in slippery fluid. doesn't clean underneath the strings and if you use the cloth supplied with it, you will have to go and buy a new set of strings as it just leaves tight bundluess of fluff wrapped round them...and no it doesn't make you play faster, only you can do that. try planet waves cloth or the swipe.
Don't believe all the hype
I've heard a lot about Fast Fret, but having used it myself for the last 2 months, it leaves a lot to be desired. While it cleans the strings quite nicely on top, you still have a whole lotta gunk on the underside, which means the strings still corrode and lose their tone anyway, unless you invest in an extra cleaner and cloth or the Swipe (worth a look!). the biggest problem with it is that to use it you have to press fairly hard, and it uses a lot of the cleaner at once, meaning a lot gets wasted, wiped off as excess, and the stick gets torn up if you use it on thick gauge strings (I use 46 - 10). I happen to be the kind of player who can't touch anything on a guitar without it turning black and greasy, but for my money it neither did the job well enough nor lasted long enough. Disappointing.
pretty good

This is a good product, it dose work a treat but i do find its a bit greasy playing straight after you put it on, but still it is good and dose work, it gets rid of all that crap on the strings and frets, i think its probably worth the money. could be a bit better.
Good product
I find this really does work by making it easier to slide up and down the strings, but it's not so good for cleaning them, especially as it doesn't clean the underneath, so I also use a Swipe to clean them after I play.
Cool but...

I always use this because it keeps the strings vibrant for longer and stops the fretboard getting muddy, but I make sure I leave it to dry first before using the guitar. I may be a freak but if I don't do that my hands and the strings get sticky rather than slippery.
Great!

I use GHS Fast Fret on my Gibson Explorer, it not only keeps the strings clean and makes them last longer but it makes sliding easier than anything! You can glide from one end of the guitar to the other like butter, it's surprisingly not something which leaves your hands smelly or greasy. It really is amazing, it has made my playing alot easier! Thanks GHS!
Great for electrics, but not so for acoustics
19 February 2003
I use fast fret on all of my instruments, and recommend it - Superb for electric guitars to reduce friction and keep strings 'singing' for gigs on end. But for acoustics i find it a little 'greasy' and only use it after playing to clean the string. Well worth it though, the money you save on not replacing dull-sounding strings is worth it alone! Great product.
Fast Fret string lube

First class product. As a geologist I have a hand lens (10X mag) that allowed me to inspect my strings one day, after 25 years. They were really covered in gunk.
<br>
<br>Fast Fret is an easy way to wipe the strings clean. It oils them so playing is slicker but you get used to that. It also makes you think about guitar hygene like washing your hands before playing, wiping the strings down regularly.
<br>Sheeit.
<br>It's worth doing.
<br>
<br>Used every day it lasts 6 months. No sweat.

de-squeaked
I've used fast fret on my long neck bouzouki for three years. Reapplied every week or so (not every day) it really does let you play faster, but more important, it gets rid of those irritating backgound squeaks. Brilliant stuff.
