The VOX JamVOX combines a USB mini-combo powered 2 x 3-inch monitor speaker with Mac and PC software that removes the guitar from a MP3, allowing you to play the guitar lead while jamming along with your favourite guitar hero or band. Or you can slow down the temp of an extracted guitar part, and practice the lick without changing the pitch. VOX JamVOX contains software models of 19 guitar amps and 54 vintage and modern effects allowing you to select the correct amp to reproduce the tone of the song's guitarist. There are also 12 guitar cabinet models to match the amp models, all accessable in one easy to use ”drag and drop“ software interface. JamVOX also includes over 100 factory preset guitar programs of famous songs and guitarists to get players started with the right tone out of the box.

GTX Technology, used in the VOX JamVOX, does not cancell the guitar phase reversing the two channels and mixing them to mono, cancelling center panned guitar solos, like a conventional vocal canceller. With GTX Technology the song keeps its stereo image, allowing you to record the song with your guitar playing just by hitting the JamVOX Record button.

Additional features of the VOX JamVOX are a playback looper, Temp Change which slows the song's playback speed without changing pitch, Auto Change which automatically switches the guitar sound or GXT settings between different portions of the song, and 100 drum patterns for practicing or creating riffs. A two-CD 28-song bundle of guitar play-along tracks of famous songs is also included with the VOX JamVOX.
