Elacin ER20-S Ear Protecters
**PLEASE NOTE** THIS PRODUCT IS NON-RETURNABLE DUE TO HYGIENE REASONS
Conventional foam and wax plugs generally produce 10 - 20 dB of extra high end reduction than in mid and low frequencies. This bias distorts the sound and disrupts the fidelity making voices and music sound unclear and unnatural. The Elacin ER20-s is a cost effective, ready to use, one-size-fits-all earplug that closely replicates the ear's natural frequency response. The earplugs reduce sound levels by 16dB while minimizing high frequency roll-off providing high fidelity hearing protection for musicians and users in clubs and concert arenas. Elacin ER20-s conform to EN323-2 and are provided with a carry case, neck cord and instructions.

I use these for my music course at college. They're comfortable to wear and definitely reduce volume levels without compromising sound clarity. They're perfect for band rehearsals or noisy environments such as clubs, but they don't really offer enough volume reduction for large gigs or festivals.

Been using these Elacin (or similar previous versions) ER20s for a good few years. I think they are absolutely great and when i have had to try other ear plugs (the few fateful times i have forgotten to bring these) they have always never been as good.
I work as a live sound engineer, play Guitar and Bass in 4 different bands (each very different musically), and also attend alot of gigs, and i find that these always seem to do the job across the board. The only thing i have noticed is a slight scoop of mid frequencies, which i find REALLY good for playing live, as drums cut through really well, and if you want to hear your guitar you just have to be more directional with your amp or monitors.
I've always paid about £20 for these, and they are well worth the money. the only reason i've ever had to get a new pair is because i have lost the previous ones, they seem to last a long time if you dont lose em!

I have used these earplugs at both rehearsals and at big gigs e.g. Black Sabbath at the NEC. The volume is turned down without making the music sounding muffled. I have been in some very loud environments and found that my ears were not ringing when I removed the plugs.

You might aswell be putting earphones into your ears. These are useless, tried them at loads of gigs with my band, and in some ways they marginally block out some sound, but they do not protect ears effectivley. My ear drum hurts after I have used them. You've been warned!
