5 Picks can make a difference??

I didnt think that the choice of pick would make any difference but it really does. Smaller and easier to use, 5* :)

These babies are great for shredding & intricate rhythm. I go for the XL black's because of my big hands. I searched around a bit before finding these and since finding them my playing has greatly improved. Not too good for strumming though! Ran out recently and cried myself to sleep until they dropped back through my door! Always been a fan of good ole JD!

These picks are great for shredders! I can play fast as hell with these beauties!!! I use the pointed edged ones and my sweeps are way more clear! For those about to shred! We salute you!
3 Accurate but lots of pick noise!

I have only ever used the black XL ones so this review is only based on that particular pick. It's a good accurate pick, great for playing leads and alternate picking, and pretty good for strumming. However, when playing with a fair amount of gain and distortion, the pick noise generated is very annoying. A constant "puck" noise when ever it hits the strings. It isn't my tecnique as I hold my pick almost completely perpendicular to the strings. It's particular bad on pickups with enhanced midrange response. I like my leads very liquid and fluid, and this pick just isn't for me anymore so I'm going to try the Dunlop Gator 2.0mm ones instead.

Excellent picks for playing lead, they dont flex at all which makes them great for fast picking but not so good for strumming chords...so its a good thing i play lead! Nice sharp point too, so good for practising precise alternate picking.
5 Just brilliant
Harry
I love these things. They sound good, and my picking improved with them. Also, I do a lot of hybrid picking and they don't get in the way like larger picks can. If you play hybrid style try them as you get the attack of a heavy thumbpick with the accuracy of shredder's/jazzer's flatpick. Until I used these I got by with any pick really, these were the first ones that I thought it was worth sticking to. Worth a go for anyone.
5 Shred On!!!!

Great for shredding!!!It really improves my speed~~
5 Best Picks for Tone
Linz
Have used these for 16 years. The Red ones now sometimes have a seam on the picking edge which is annoying, though this can be sanded down. I have switched to the black and these are smooth and produce a really clear sound, though wear a bit quicker than the Red. The Ibanez Paul Gilbert picks are also really good for all you wanabee shredders but are more expensive and difficult to get. The 'tone poet' Eric Johnson can't be wrong - try the Jazz III's and don't look back ! If you thick fingers try the bigger version.
5 Best every plics

these plics are awesome the red one is best for shredding on the guitar. SHRED ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5 Great for Jazz
Viv
These picks are great for playing cool jazz songs such as 'Come As You Are'. Stiff means that they give an added jazz rest.
3 Too small!!!!
Dave C
I ordered 1 just to try them out, but i just cant play with it!!! Well I can, just badly :p Theyre just too small for me to grip properly, nice and stiff though (ordered a black one). I'll try an XL one next time I order, but for the time being I'm sticking to Tortex standards!!!
5 Best plectrums

Was looking for the Satriani Ibanez custom plecs when I stumbled accross these, THE BEST PICKS EVER.
5 fantastic picks!

i love these things, u can play so incredibly fast with these little things, i stopped using them for a while as i thought the little stubbies were better then i tried on again and realized ive been wasting my time with the small stubbies, these picks take ages to wear down BUT!!! i find they melt alot, sometimes after having one of those days where u have to shred none stop, it melts and leaves white marks on ur hand (i dont know why its white as the picks are black and red)
5 XL's are great

I used to use these picks ages ago but could never get on with the small size and my local music shop never had xl's. Awesome picks...Red has smoother surface and therefore less pick noise on string which is a big personal preference of mine.
5 Great for lead
Kris
I ordered one on the search for a smaller pick I'd like for lead playing rather than standard Tortex picks and they are great. They grip well and are pretty smooth sweeping over the strings.

... lovely picks. They are the best plectrums I've ever used. I've always used these and I'm never going to change! Respond excellently to your playing and they are good for any style of playing (from cool jazz to blow your face off metal).

I have been a Lifelong (well at least 14 years) Big Stubby fan, but over the last three months I started using these for practising fast alternate picking runs, because I needed help with that tiny extra bit of speed in string release. These are now my main type of pick. They are harder to sweep with though, but so what. I've still got a tin full of big stubbies left anyhows.

Spectacular pick, I have never played a pick where it actually responds perfectly to your picking neuonces. The control your able to get from it is amazing. From sweeping to Alternate picking (it really is perfect for alternate picked arps seriously) it excells, do yourself a favour and change to Jazz III's, I did and I never regreted it.
4 Awesome !

Oh man where do I start ? These picks fit in your hand just right and have the right picking angle for sharp, fast and accurate picking. I don't think I'll use a different pick ever again.
1 If you intend to learn/play fast alternate picking licks, then this sould be your weapon of choice.

Best pick's i've ever used. They're small stiff, pointy, and very accurate. An absolute must for fast clean picking.
