DAVA’s multi-gauge* design gives rhythm and lead all in one controllable pick!
By simply modulating your grip within the DAVA Control Region, you can go from silky smooth rhythm at ridge 1 to the full-on attack of a lead solo at Ridge 3.
Plus everything in between!
Look at all the possibilities, they’re endless; the endless range of expression available only from the DAVA Control Pick™. Think about it. Sounds that were always in your fingers had only three ways to escape. But now, a simple change in shape* gives every guitar player infinite flexibility. That shape is the region of precise control and not since the invention of the pick has there been a design of such amazing potential. You see, the DAVA Control’s mid–body concave contours allow a fantastic range of flexibility.
Here’s how it works: Thumb and forefinger fit snugly into the ridged contours. By simply modulating the pressure here, you gain control over a wide range of pick gauges. Do you want a very thin pick for silky smooth rhythm playing and lightening fast leads; or stiff, when you need the power of a single note to cut through the night air?
Nuances of play always in your fingers just needed an instrument to let them out. That’s what the DAVA Control Pick™ is, an instrument of total expression.

Best Picks ever

I've been using these for years. I honestly cant remember how many but quite a few. I think at least since about 2005. I love them. I got my first and took to it in minutes. Since then I have never been comfortable playing with anything else. I always used 1ml nylon picks before that. I play mostly Heavy stuff on my Ibanez 7 string in Drop G/A Tuning. They are perfect for chugging along and for those harmonics and fast picking. Great all round pick. They are just as great to use acoustically too, wether it be on my 12 string or 6 string. Amazing little picks. You'll never go back!

This is honestly, one of the best picks to come out in years.
I play a 7-string ibanez, and play the shred style using many techniques like alternate picking, sweeping, string skipping etc.
I have used many of the famous 'shredder picks' including the 'jazz 3', the 'tortex sharp' ones (thickest width of course =P),
fender (heavy), and then this one - the DAVA.
This pick is incredibly accurate, has a nice tone thats less harsh than the jazz 3,
and is very light requiring very little effort in the picking.
What more can I say?
This is honestly the BEST pick for effortless shredding....

Great Pick
Tom
I mainly play alot of fast shredding metal, so naturally, i need a pick that'll give me the comfort, and great sound. Thats where this pick comes in. Yes, it's quite a gay, poofy pick, that is often frouned upon by the likes of the famous Tortex series, but these picks offer comfort and a great sound, in one cheap and well designed pick.
<br/> The flexible middle gives range of differen't sounds, and by adjusting your grip, you adjust the flexibility of the pick, clever but simple.
<br/> This pick is great for all types of music, and guitars, whether your playing acoustic electric, or bass. It's a must have for your collection!

The design of this pick is very clever. But the material is not so good to resit wear. Its life time is surely shorter than other picks.

I only have 1 left, gave 2 to my bro and lost 2. Best picks all round, lead to strumming, electric to accoustic.
<br/>A must have in your collection

I found the perfect pick
Kevin
I've had problems with my picks rotating during playing and they used to be difficult to rotate the pick back and get it back to position. These things are brilliant, the grip it has makes it less likely to rotate and on the odd occasion when it does it's so easy to get back in position. You also get a really bright sound out of them, perfect for lead playing. When you soften your grip it prduces a nice strumming sound. So all in all, this is the perfect pick. Don't look at the price, it really isn't a factor to what you get back. I'll be getting a few more packs on my next order!

The title says it all. I've been using them since about 97-98 I believe and refuse to use anything else. I've only tried the turquoise version, and came across this site while looking to buy a few gross more. It's the only guitar pick.

brilliant

If you play a wide range of music on your guitar, you'll find that you need a good selection of picks. My pick box has over 20 different picks in it, all of which have different thicknesses, sizes or shapes. One is even made of metal (mainly because I thought it looked cool...)
<br>
<br>When I last went into my local guitar shop, however, they had a new addition in their "pick box" - a Dava control pick. This strange looking beasty is one of those "I wish I'd thought of that!" type inventions. It's simplicity itself, but it's very effective. It's just a normal pick, but with a thinned-out ridge in the middle, with a few grip lines running across it.
<br>
<br>Basically, it's a "x-in-one" pick that can vary it's stiffness just by you altering where you grip the pick. If you grip the pick nearer to the flat end, it becomes very floppy and loose feeling - great for acoustic strumming or playing really fast riffs. If you alter your grip so that you hold it nearer the pointed end, it becomes very stiff and precise feeling - I found this great for playing slow blues, where you want every note to be clearly defined and articulated.
<br>
<br>It took a while to get used the potential of this pick - at first, I just treated it as a normal plectrum. This is fine, and in fact it's one of the most comfortable picks I've used in a long while. The ridges also make it very easy to grip, and reduce the chances of you dropping it while playing - very embarrassing if you happen to be doing a gig at the time!
<br>
<br>After using it for a while, I started realising just how useful it is. Changing your pick can have a profound effect on your tone, and it was great to be able to vary the thickness of the pick "on-the-fly" - even between successive notes! Also, if you've never been comfortable with the stiffness of off-the-shelf picks, you'll be able to alter your grip on this until you find your ideal balance of stiffness and flexibility.
<br>
<br>True, it may cost a little more than a normal pick, but it's been worth every penny I spent on it - and I've managed to replace my entire pick box with this one pick! Try one if you can - it's a ridiculously small outlay, but it could be one of the best investments you make this year.
