MXR M-117R Flanger

You may wish to request stock levels for this product if ordering multiple items

RRP £182. Back by popular demand, the MXR M-117R Flanger creates a variety of wild sounds from dynamic jet plane or cool space effects to short delay, chorus, and vibrato. You have complete control of the filter so you can sculpt the sound you want. Back off the Width setting to zero to disengage auto-sweep, then use the Manual knob to physically place the effect anywhere along the frequency spectrum! Use with guitar, bass, keyboards, and vocals.
The M-117R effects pedal has 4 knobs and a footswitch. The footswitch toggles the flanger effect on/bypass (red LED indicates on). The Manual knob selects the frequency center of the effect when auto-sweep is disengaged. The Width knob at zero disengages auto-sweep, but when you rotate it clockwise, it increases the total phase sweep of the effect. The Speed knob modulates rate of effect. The Regen knob feeds the effect back onto itself at adjustable intensity, increasing the total phase effect.
Powered by battery or optional Dunlop ECB-004 AC adapter. (See accessory box on this page.)

5 Flange-tastic!

I feel so lucky! I have just got an MXR M-117R Flanger and I reckon it's the BEST flanger pedal. I have tried most both in pedal, software and rack formats and this one wins my affections; it's going on my pedalboard and staying there. The flange produced by this baby is warm and analogue sounding and with its 18V Dunlop power supply, is quiet. The flange level has been cleverly designed so that it gives you just the right amount and with the four controls you may soon dial up cool sounds and it's hard to find a bad sound. I particularly found it easy when trying to emulate other guitar player's flange sounds i.e, I found them faster to obtain where as my BOSS BF-3 sounds processed and (ever so toppy!) and my GT-8 no where near as good, and can never seem to achieve a clone sound easily or, if at all. I have also had ARION flangers and a BOSS BF-2, the flanger is much better than those in my opinion. I have a TC Electronic M300 and a LEXICON MP100 and the MXR flanger is better than the flange produced by those units. The pedal (along with all MXR pedals) are built very strong and are made to last. For a little more money do yourselves a favour and get a descent flanger: the MXR M-117R.
