Can You Afford Not To?
I don't have any tales to tell of returned scents or previously damaged guitars, but when you pay a grand for a guitar, are you seriously going to begrudge less than 1% of the value of your pride an joy to keep it in good condition? Gibson go to the trouble of making their acoustic guitars in Montana where the atmosphere is more stable than Nashville, and you're gonna keep yours in a centrally heated flat with no protection? I don't think so!
Great bit of kit
No matter if you've spent £60 or £10,000 on an acoustic guitar, less than 9 quid (plus a couple of quid for a bottle of deionised water) will protect your instrument (and the financial investment) for an age. Same as Chris' experience, put the unit inside my Baby Taylor and within 24 hours that glorious cedar scent had returned - and I know that the guitar is being protected in an easy to maintain way. Highly recommended.

Noticed the inside of my very expensive electro acoustic was going very dry inside. That lovely smell and scent of the wood inside had disappeared. Within a day of it being in the guitar (room very warm now due to hot weather) the scent had returned and the colour of the wood inside had returned. (Body top supports and strengtheners)

I have a couple of high quality classical guitars and have suffered with one cracking in the dry centrally heated environment of my home. The cost of repair was about £400.00 and would have been avoided had I been using the humidifier. At £9 a pop it is well worthwhile using this product.
