Hi Paul. Thank you for your quick response, I have received the new strings and fitted them - they sound great as these strings usually do. Again thanks for your quick response, its very refreshing to come across such a fantastic customer service and I shall be certainly recommending strings direct to all my friends.

Replaced a pair of badly-fitted EMG actives on a JJ Jewel all mahogany solid guitar. The EMG's were running on 18 volts and sounded reasonably good but the Seymour Duncans really sing, especially the jazz in the neck position. I used 500k pots, initially with coil tap, but reverted to straight wiring to simplify the installation as I was not using the tapped sound. Bridge/string "earthing" wire had been cut off flush with control cavity when the EMG's had been fitted so I had to carefully dig this out and re-solder a new piece of wire - otherwise a very easy install. Also tried 250k volume pot, very little difference in sound as the 250 or 500k pickup load is resistive rather than reactive and well above the 6-8k output impedance. Highly recommended.
