Lute Hole Solid Wood Feedback Busters
LUTEHOLES - Hand finished SOLID WOOD carvings that fit into your guitars soundhole in seconds with no modification to your guitar. They look similar to the decorative carvings of early stringed instruments. You have your choice of three unique designs each available in Maple, Mahogany or Walnut. In addition to making any guitar more beautiful they also help control feedback and protect the edge of the sound hole from pick damage.
LuteHoles are held in the sound hole by a resilient gasket and are made for sound holes that are four inches in diameter.
*Feedback is indicated by the different designs.
Standard 4" wide.
Used by Lenny Kravitz, Ritchie Sambora, Clint Black, Randy Travis and many more.

I recently purchased a Walnut Lute Hole for my Stagg CETU-VS 12 string and it looks absolutely awesome and sounds excellent. I still get a small amount of feedback every now and again but then I do practice in a small room. I would definitely recommend a lute hole and would absolutely recommend buying from stringdirect. The customer service is second to none and the delivery is excellent.

Beautiful.. make your acoustic looks superb. If you don't have a perfectly round soundhole (i.e. the fretboard goes over the soundhole slightly) you will have to modify it slightly but this is easily done. I had to saw off a few mm at the top edge.
Also my soundhole was a little under the 4" which meant removing a little of the side foam tabs and now it fits easily.
Definitely reduces feedback although I still get it when practicing and facing the PA system that I put my acoustic through using the XLR output... so no 100% (I got a heavy feedback one as well). So I would certainly get a heavy feedback one as even that isn't full proof.
When not plugged in you want to remove it as obviously you lose some volume/tone with it in place.

I have one on my Maton TE and it looks fantastic and stops the feedback-what more could an acoustic guitarist ask for!You can check out my music at www.myspace.com/timcheatle
