All UK orders of £10.00 or under are charged at £1.00 delivery. All UK orders over that amount are free delivery unless you have selected a premium delivery service (ie - Next Day Delivery)
Orders received before 3pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched that same day. Delivery is by Royal Mail ‘First Class’ post and is usually next day but can typically take between 1-3 days from the date of posting. Delays can occur if circumstances beyond our control disrupt postal services.
Missing or delayed items: Please note that we will need to wait 14 days before being able to trace, replace or refund lost items.

All orders over £50 being delivered within the UK Mainland will be sent next weekday delivery (Royal Mail Special Delivery or Courier) free of charge. A signature will be required (Only orders made before 3pm Monday-Friday will go out same day)
Most small orders are sent in bespoke boxes that are designed to fit through standard size letter boxes, although it is advised, but not a necessity to set the delivery address as a premises where someone will be there to take delivery of the package, no matter how big or small the order.
Larger orders can be sent either by Royal Mail Special Delivery or by Parcelforce next day courier service. Both of these methods of delivery require a signature upon delivery. If your order is being sent by either courier or special delivery then you will receive a delivery information email with your parcel reference number and estimated delivery date when your order has been despatched.
Parcelforce will attempt delivery & if no-one is in to receive the package a card will be posted through the letterbox notifying you of the attempted delivery. The package will then be left at your local post office ready for collection If still not collected the order will be returned to sender. If a change of delivery address is required from the original delivery address submitted at the time of ordering a further £11.95 charge will be applicable.
If you absolutely require guaranteed next day delivery, we can offer a Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’ service which is only guaranteed for weekday deliveries and must be ordered before 4pm , Monday - Friday. This service can be added by selecting ‘Special Delivery’ in the checkout section. There is a £6.95 additional cost for ‘Special Delivery’ before 1pm or, if you require earlier delivery before 9am then a £12.95 cost is added to your order. *PLEASE NOTE* this is only for orders under 2kg.
Larger orders over 2kg (Multi-Effects, Amps, Guitars or Portastudio type items) have to be sent by a courier and delivery times are between 9am and 5pm weekdays . A signature is required on delivery.
International Orders
All International orders over £10 are sent via Royal Mail Airsure or International Signed For, orders under £10 are sent Royal Mail Standard Air Mail. If your order is being sent by either Airsure or International Signed For then you will receive a delivery information email with your parcel reference number and estimated delivery time when your order has been despatched.
With Airesure & International Signed For mail is despatched on the next available flight, and receives priority handling both here and abroad.

Western Europe 3-4 days
Eastern Europe 4-5 days
Rest of the World 5-7 days

We believe we have the fairest pricing structure for electric & acoustic guitar strings, bass strings & instrument accessories. However if you find strings or accessories advertised in the UK mainland at a genuine better price including delivery we will attempt not only match the price, but try and better it! Returns & Refund Policy
To arrange a return please contact Lee in our Returns Department by phone 01702 540068 or email lee@stringsdirect.co.uk and we will issue you with a returns number.
7 Day Money Back Guarantee - In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, any goods can be returned for any reason within 7 days for a refund. All returns MUST be confirmed by email or phone in order to get a returns number.
By with confidence online & mail order. Buy it. Try it. If you don't like it return it to us with in 7 days in its original condition & we will give you a full refund.
Returned goods must be in their original condition and packaging. If you decide that you do not wish to keep an item you can either return it to us yourself at your own expense, or contact us and we will arrange collection which is chargeable. The average cost for a collection is £14.95. This returns policy does not apply to any items that have been especially ordered.
Within 28 days of the date of delivery, we will arrange for the collection and replacement of faulty goods. Outside of 28 days from the date of delivery, we will arrange from the return of faulty goods from us to the manufacturers for repair, under the terms of manufacurer's warranty. This policy is invalidated if the goods have been altered in any way from their original condition, or if the fault is due to misuse by the purchaser.
Goods that have been altered from their original condition in any way cannot be returned.
Goods cannot be returned as faulty where a specific defect in the product was brought to the attention of the customer at the point of sale.
Refunds can only be made by the method originally used to pay for the goods. Credit/debit card refunds will be processed immediately and normally take 3-10 working days to show on the customer's account.
