The case is made of fairly sturdy plastic, with metal corners and sides. The sides are a little thin, having a bit of flex in them. Internally the pedalboard is lined to secure velcro equipped pedals. If you don't have velcro on the pedal base, a strip (about 50cm) is included which can be cut to size. The inside of the lid is lined with foam which is intended to press against the pedals inside to help secure them in place. It isn't very thick so might not hold low in height pedals, instead you'd be relying on the velcro. The lid hooks double as hinges so when secured the lid can close and be locked shut. The handle is reasonable. Overall it's pretty good. It wouldn't take someone standing on it and I don't think it would survive being dropped from more than two feet.
