acoustic strings

I brought a set of earthwood acoustic guitar strings £10.99. I had to grind a extruding wire of the A string to fit through the bridge of my guitar. after this I tuned up and left for 3 days I went back into my music room to find the G string had snaped!!. neadles to say I won't be buying anymore Earthwood products.
