'I've used Strings Direct before and I'm always impressed with their service and value. I found my recent order cheaper elsewhere and they were happy to price match, so of course I placed the order with Strings Direct for their usual great service. I would recomend this site to anyone, and will continue to use them as my first point of call'

2 This is not the Real Deal

To those thinking that this is the evh style sounding pedal or that they can get the Pink Floyd Breathe style swirls then then don't bother. The is the modern block logo equivalent of the script logo Phase 90 that EVH and David Gilmour used so effectively. I had a script logo a while back and it was far more subtle and warm than this one (pcb seems to be a major culprit!). I have however recently invested in the custom shop script logo reissue and despite it not being "quite there", it is much nearer the original and well worth the extra money. This is a good phaser, but don't let the Phase 90 name fool you with this!!!
5 Just the Best Phaser Ever

This is the best phaser there is. It's the industry standard and don't be fooled by its simplicity. There are plenty of phaser effects out there with knobs-a-gogo, but no matter what you do with them they don't sound half as good as this one. MXR just did their homework and made it sound right.
5 great for being Eddie!

this looks at first glance to be a very basic unit but don't be fooled by it's exterior. this happens to be the BEST phaser pedal there is! <br> <br>If you want the classic early Eddie Van Halen sound this is the pedal you need as it is the exact same one he used for the early Halen albums and you can see why! <br>It adds a cutting edge to solo and rhythm work that takes your playing into another dimension. <br> <br>two handed tapping is made to sound even more awesome with it (you'll get the 'Eruption' studio sound when you two hand tap thru this with lots of reverb and delay)and muted chords swoosh all over the place. it also gives a nice shimmering effect to fast lead solos making you sound better than what you are! <br> <br>it only has one knob but the best way to set it is a little up from the 'off' position, too much towards the 12 o'clock position and it does get a bit too strong. also setting it over 12 makes things get v wierd! (sound like u are playing underwater!) <br> <br>All in all this is an excellent pedal for a rock guitarist that will enhance their sound and of course useful for when you do your Van Halen classic covers! <br> <br>Crank it up!
