New compact design allows more floor space. The potentiometer has a 250k ohm resistance suitable for the audio path of passive instruments. Behind the jack area under the footplate is a micro taper switch which provides the user two distinct volume swell rates. This is a no frills volume pedal, and does exactly what you need it to, very well! I changed from a Visual Sounds Visual Volume (good, but has 10 LEDs!) to this which doesn't need any power supply or battery to run. It's built like a tank and has a lovely smooth sweep. Brilliant! However you can get it cheaper than SD so look around and then get a price match ;)
