Ernie Ball M-STEEL may be the ultimate power string!

Building on the higher output and bolder, more-focused midrange of the Cobalt wrap wire these strings have Maraging Steel (aka M-Steel) at their core. Maraging Steel is space age material developed for use in high-stress applications like the aerospace and defence industries which require high strength:weight ratio.

Sooo, what does this mean for a set of guitar strings? The obvious enhancement is in strength with greater resistance to stress fatigue allowing you to play more aggressively, with more energy, and confidence. Moreover, there is a bonus effect which manifests as a fuller, richer tone with big, powerful low-end.

Further, and crucially as mentioned above, M-Steel also has a Super Cobalt alloy wrap wire which too many people forget to mention. Cobalt inherently provides a little more overall output than regular nickel-steel with extra mid-high response and bass.

Ernie Ball M-STEEL is just ‘more of... ‘; such great, standout strings. They’re probably a bit excessive for the Blues but if you’re imparting a load of energy into and demand more from your strings then these are perfect for you.
