Dean Markley’s mission: “Doing it better all the time” just about says it all. He began as a music store owner and moved forward into string making when other strings just weren’t good enough. Dean Markley began selling his own experimental string designs in store and has now moved on to make some of the biggest and most popular advances in cryogenically frozen strings with the introduction of the Blue Steel range. The most recent Dean Markley advance is with the new Helix HD strings which use a Hyper-Elliptical Winding process combined with the greatest possible string mass to maintain the strings natural vibrancy. They are fatter, brighter and last up to 5x longer than conventional strings!
